Reimagining how first-time fund managers can launch successful crypto funds.

The traditional fund management ecosystem can be daunting for new managers to navigate, so we created an incubator designed to simplify the journey.

Nimbus is more than just a platform—we’re an ideas factory, enabling fund managers to bring new, innovative strategies to life that traditional fund managers often overlook.

The problem

90% of your child's brain development happens by age 5. You have no way of measuring how current educators are impacting this.

Why Nova

Outdated Systems

Rote learning still prevails. The quality of teachers is in continuous decline. Parental involvement is limited. Nutrition, critical thinking and the child's autonomy almost entirely neglected.

Our Solution

Our approach begins with hands-on STEM exploration all the way through to emotional intelligence development, ensuring your child gains the confidence to face future challenges and build the future.

Benefits

The goal is to discover the innate curiosity in every child and maximise their chance of success in life, however they define it.

MEET OUR FUNDS

Making successful crypto fund management accessible to first-time managers

Kyall Walker, the former head of Australia’s top community venture fund, Upside, chose Nimbus Capital to support his latest venture.

After navigating the complexities of fund management on his own, Kyall realised he wanted a partner who could handle the operational side of things, allowing him to focus on what he does best: identifying high-potential investments.

Kyall launched Persistence Capital with $5m. He is on the way to having one of the best long-only hedge funds globally.

At Nimbus, we provide that partnership, allowing first-time managers to stay focused on their investment strategy while we handle the rest.

How do you track my child's progress?

At Nova, we monitor your child’s progress based on three core elements:

(1) Skill Development: Numerical Ability, Written & Verbal Fluency and Scientific Knowledge;

(2) Emotional Development: Communication with others and Self-Confidence;

(3) Individual Development (customised to the child): Development in the child’s chosen areas of interest, Artistic expression and Curiosity & Critical Thinking.

As a provider of services to yourselves, the parents, Nova is committed to measuring & categorising development in these three core areas in conjunction with yourselves. We encourage your input into the monitoring process as much of the child’s development will also be displayed in their home environment. Progress will be monitored at quarterly intervals in parent-teacher meetings.

What’s the teacher-student ratio?

Nova guarantees a maximum of 10 students to every classroom educator.

How big are class sizes?

For the majority of indoor (hard skill) classes, class sizes will be limited to 10pax. For outdoor & experiential learning activities, there will be up to 25pax per class.

Will the individualised student path be presented to parents to follow along with?

Yes.

Individualised student paths will also be developed, monitored & altered in collaboration with parents in order to adapt to the child’s behaviours at home.

What makes Nova Early Learning different from other early learning centres?

Nova focuses on three core elements of a child’s early development: progression & readiness in academic skills (numeracy, literacy and the sciences), emotional development and individual development.

The Nova curriculum is intentionally split between the necessary rigour required to upskill the child in STEM-related disciplines to achieve beyond-age-group capabilities and the necessary flexibility required to cultivate the student’s skills, curiosity and critical thinking abilities as it relates to particular areas of interest that exist outside the domains of existing early learning & primary school learning pathways.

Unlike other early learning facilities, Nova places the utmost focus on only recruiting A+ educational facilitators to guide your child’s development. No more leaving the most critical years of cognitive & emotional progression to an unknown quantity.

Nova also places strong emphasis on the co-creation & monitoring of learning pathways with parents, aiming to ensure symbiosis between learning outcomes on the Nova campus and within the home environment.

What makes Nova Early Learning different from Montessori?

Nova is similar to Montessori in that both systems encourage:
(1) Child self-sufficiency;
(2) Child-directed learning pathways;Integrated learning with basic life skills;
(3) Uninterrupted work & play periods.

Where Nova differentiates itself from Montessori is in the incorporation of a more rigorous (whilst remaining experimentally driven) STEM curriculum to develop the child’s ability to build, a greater degree of parental involvement in the measurement & drafting of early learning outcomes and a heightened focus on technological literacy.

How do you nurture my child's unique interests and abilities?

Children’s unique interests & abilities (and their confidence and capabilities therein) are cultivated as follows:

(1) Resources on-demand. Based on what your child selects as their special interest focus for a given period, Nova will work to procure any resources (material, human or otherwise) that will assist them in achieving their learning goals within the field.

(2) Personal Projects. Formative assessment will not be universally assigned to all children. Instead, students will work on independently evaluated personal projects based on their areas of interest.

(3) Uninterrupted Specialty Time. As in the Montessori model, children will be allocated uninterrupted (albeit monitored) periods daily to focus on their chosen area of interest.

(4) Parental Coordination. Regular reviews & updates will be provided to parents to aid in the continued development of the child in their area of interest both at Nova and at home.

What qualifications do your teachers have?

Nova is committed to only recruiting the leading educators in Victoria and beyond. We offer extremely competitive remuneration and have set strict standards on:

(1) Prior educational achievements of the educator (high distinction minimum in some form of educational qualification);

(2) 90+ Net Promoter Score from previous employer(s) in the educational field;

(3) Prior experience with or certifications for child-led learning models;

(4) Achievement in case study assessments for gauging suitability to the Nova teaching model.

How has the Nova curriculum been established?

Nova combines its own practices & models for soft skill & special interest development alongside accepted standards put together by leading educators in Victoria that combines the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework from the Victorian Department of Education and Training for suitability in further education.
